DIY face masks for everyone

Are you staying in this weekend and longing for payday? Take a look at our DIY face masks that won’t break the bank and are such a fun activity alone or with friends at a pamper night.

acne 💥
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 1 drop of tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial and is known for its acne-fighting properties however it’s too strong to put directly on the skin. However if you combine it with hydrating and calming aloe gel it’ll create an effective yet gentle acne busting face mask. Apply to clean, dry skin for 10 minutes before washing off and moisturising.

dry 🏜️
  • Half an avocado (mashed)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Avocados are full of fatty acids, which will help to soothe and moisturise your dry skin. Honey is also a natural hydrator so when you mix them both together you’ll have a lovely super hydrating face mask. Keep on for up to 20 minutes and then rinse.

oily 💦
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tbsp fresh aloe vera (or gel)

Trust us on this one. Egg whites contain a natural antibacterial that can prevent clogged pores whilst absorbing excess oil. This combined with aloe, used to soothe and hydrate can reduce excess oils caused by irritation. Mix together well, spoon onto the face, leave for 10 minutes and then rinse off well.

  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 2 drops of lavender oil

This face mask will deliver deep hydration from the coconut oil, antioxidants from the honey and reduced redness from the lavender oil. Mix together and paint on skin with a brush for the ultimate at home spa experience. Leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse.

uneven skin tone 😳
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup of mashed papaya

This mask is great for anyone who suffers with hyperpigmentation, sun spots or uneven skin tones. Papaya has skin lightning properties that acts as a strong exfoliator that removes dead skin cells to reveal the healthier and more even skin-tone underneath. Blend together ingredients, apply to face for 15-20 mins then wash off and moisturise.

brightening ✨
  • 3 tbsp of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup of honey

This honey & orange based face mask is the best quick fix to give dull skin a bright and healthy glow. Mix together ingredients, rub lightly over your face and leave for 15 mins. Rinse with lukewarm water and follow up with a moisturiser.
