What areas does Full Body include?

Our Full Body option includes every single area on your body from your eyebrows down. If you wish to exclude some areas from your treatment, this is absolutely fine too!

What laser is used for this treatment?

At Skin HQ we use the award-winning Cynosure Apogee Elite laser. The Cynosure laser uses a dual-wavelength system which consists of a 755nm Alexandrite laser and a high powered 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser.

The Cynosure Apogee Elite allows us to target a variety of different hair colours and skin types, delivering reliable and effective hair removal reduction.

How many sessions of laser do I need and how often will I need to come in?

The amount of sessions an individual will need varies on their skin type and hair density. On average, 6 sessions will provide a 50% hair reduction and 12 sessions may give a 85% hair reduction. Results vary from individual to individual and it is vital to adhere to the correct aftercare for the treatment.

We recommend coming in for your laser hair removal treatment every 4-6 weeks.

Will I be completely hair free after treatment?

We cannot guarantee that a client will be completely hair free, although most people do see amazing results. We change the setting on the laser on each session, to ensure clients see the best possible result.

Laser hair removal can provide a major reduction in hair growth, although you will need to maintain your lasered areas with top-up sessions every 6-12 months.

Is laser hair removal painless?

Most people are surprised by how pain-free laser hair removal is. It is much more comfortable than waxing, although it is largely dependant on your pain threshold. It is often described as a ‘rubber band snap’ feeling. Our Cynosure Apogee Elite laser has SmartCool technology which maximises client comfort during and after treatment.

What facial treatment is best for acne?

If you suffer from active acne, we would recommend the Fire and Ice facial. This is because the facial is formulated with the purest pharmaceutical grade ingredients that are 95-98% botanically derived. If your spots are inflamed, infected and red it is likely that you are suffering from active acne. You can find out more about the Fire and Ice facial by clicking here.

If you suffer from mild spots, we would recommend the HydraFacial Acne Protocol or Fire and Ice facial. If you suffer from mild spots, your skin may be prone to getting small bumps and blackheads. You can find out more about the HydraFacial, by clicking here.

If you suffer from acne scarring, we would recommend Microneedling. This treatment uses tiny needles to create a controlled, micro-injury on the skin surface. You can find out more about Microneedling, by clicking here.

What is the difference between the HydraFacials?

HydraFacial Express: The HydraFacial Core Treatment consists of a three-stage process taking around 30 minutes and is perfect for anyone with a busy lifestyle. It detoxifies the skin, removes dead skin cells, extracts any debris and provides long lasting hydration and essential nutrient support to protect and rebuilds collagen levels.

HydraFacial Skin Health for Life: The HydraFacial Skin Health for Life treatment uses super-serums filled with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid. These serums boost hydration and protect skin from environmental damage, leaving it recharged, renewed, and invigorated.

HydraFacial Acne and Congested Skin: The HydraFacial Acne and Congested skin treatment helps to improve blemishes by reducing the build-up of excess oils. This treatment also improves scarring, through deep exfoliation using natural salicylic acid and by applying different strengths of GlySal peel.

HydraFacial Anti-Ageing (Dermabuilder): The HydraFacial Anti-Ageing treatment uses a DermaBuilder multi-peptide anti-ageing serum, to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment also enhances the skins elasticity, for visibly noticeable plumping and tightening of the skin.

HydraFacial Pigmentation Reduction: The HydraFacial Pigmentation Reduction features the Britenol Vortex-BoosterTM is clinically proven to minimise the appearance of brown spots. Specially formulated to awaken dull skin, the treatment targets dark spots and sun damaged areas, leaving skin glowing with a more even complexion.
